But in the CEAT Awards 2024-25, Samson displayed that he is ready for the challenges thrown at him. He might have also taken a dig at Gautam Gambhir with his statements. Samson said that he is also ready to bowl for the team if it is needed. This was an indirect dig at the approach taken by Gambhir in the T20I format.
1. Samson's Statements at CEAT Awards 2025
Sanju Samson has showcased that talent can never be defeated. In the CEAT Awards 2024-25, he received the award for the best T20I batsman of the year. Despite his batting position being changed in every game, he has decided not to give up on his dignity and pride.
After taking the required trophy, he also went for a presentation. Talking about his role in the Indian team, , "I take a lot of pride for playing for the country - the environment we play in - even if they ask me to bat at 9, I will do it for the team".
