BCCI Releases Health Update on Shreyas Iyer Following Recent Injury

In the Sydney ODI match, Shreyas Iyer suffered an injury to his left rib cage. He was also seen struggling while he was going off the field. Fans were also left worried as the Indian team played with one batter short in a match, which they had to win to avoid a whitewash. The BCCI recently announced an update on his injury. The statement said, “Scans have revealed a laceration injury to the spleen. He is under treatment, medically stable, and recovering well. The BCCI Medical Team, in consultation with specialists in Sydney and India, is closely monitoring his injury status. The Indian Team Doctor will remain in Sydney with Shreyas to evaluate his day-to-day progress.”
This has made the fans more worried than ever before, as they are sending prayers to Shreyas Iyer for a speedy recovery. Along with that, it should be noted that Shreyas Iyer is still admitted to the ICU and will be there for a day or two. Being under treatment, Iyer is now doing well, and his time for recovery
At this time, the BCCI is also working on some arrangements to ensure that Shreyas Iyer’s family is able to travel to Sydney to pay him a visit. Noting the seriousness of his injury, the BCCI officials and medical team are also taking serious care of the Indian batsman.
