Harry Kane Praises Son Heung-mins Resilience and Professionalism

As the Harry Kane Foundation launched its mental health campaign titled “A Message to My Younger Self During Tough Times,” former Tottenham teammates Harry Kane and Son Heung-min reunited via video call to share insights on resilience. Now playing for LAFC, Son advised his younger self to “not worry too much” and to remember that “tough times will pass,” reflecting the mindset that has shaped his career since debuting at Hamburg in 2010.

Despite early struggles at Hamburg, Leverkusen, and Tottenham, Son’s perseverance turned him into a global football star. His legendary partnership with Kane produced 47 combined Premier League goals, surpassing the record of Lampard and Drogba, with both players contributing nearly identical tallies of goals and assists. Kane described Son as “family” and praised his sincerity, while Son called Kane a player he could “understand with just a glance.”
