The victory was powered by Sandeep, who produced his third consecutive Super 10 of the season, scoring 12 points and leading the team’s attack. Lokesh Ghosliya and Sunil Kumar were pivotal in defence, both achieving High Fives, while neutralising Nitesh Kumar’s High Five for the Thalaivas.
The match began with a tightly contested first ten minutes, with U Mumba edging ahead 9-7 through early raids by Sandeep and Zafardanesh, while Lokesh and Rinku made crucial tackles. Tamil Thalaivas kept close with Arjun Deshwal creating opportunities, supported by tactical substitutions like Yogesh Yadav for Arulnanthababu. In the second ten minutes, U Mumba extended their lead to 16-11, highlighted by Ajit Chouhan’s Do-Or-Die raid and Lokesh’s second-fastest High Five of the season.
