Puneri Paltan defeated Bengaluru Bulls 6-4 in a tie-breaker after a 29-29 deadlock at the SDAT Indoor Stadium. Despite missing Aslam Inamdar, Puneri’s all-round performance, led by Abinesh Nadarajan, Aditya Shinde, and Gaurav Khatri, secured early leads, strong defence, and crucial raids, helping them complete a double over the Bulls and top the points table in Pro Kabaddi Season 12.

When the Puneri Paltan and Bengaluru Bulls clashed at the SDAT Multi Purpose Indoor Stadium in Chennai, the contest lived up to expectations, ending in a thrilling tie-breaker. Both teams displayed aggressive attacking and disciplined defending from the outset. Despite missing Aslam Inamdar, Puneri Paltan started strong, with Abinesh Nadarajan making the first tackle and raiders Aditya Shinde and Aashish Malik scoring early points.

Bengaluru Bulls’ Alireza Mirzaian kept his side in contention with sharp raids, but Puneri struck first around the 13th minute, securing the match’s first ALL OUT and taking a 12-9 lead after the first ten minutes. In the second phase, Puneri consolidated their advantage, with Nadarajan commanding the defence and Shinde adding crucial points. The Bulls fought back through Aashish Malik and Akash Shinde, but Puneri maintained a 17-13 halftime lead.

The second half saw Puneri’s defenders, led by Gurdeep and Gaurav Khatri, execute timely tackles, including a Super Tackle on Mirzaian, while the Bulls kept applying pressure. A late ALL OUT by the Bulls briefly gave them a three-point edge, but Puneri’s resilience leveled the score at 29-29. In the tie-breaker, early raids from Pankaj Mohite and Aditya Shinde, supported by tight defence from Khatri and Nadarajan, sealed a 6-4 win, completing the double over Bengaluru and propelling Puneri Paltan to the top of the points table.
