Chelsea Defender Axel Disasi Linked With Juventus Move.

Chelsea centre-back Axel Disasi, sidelined from the first team by Enzo Maresca, is reportedly a January target for Juventus following Gleison Bremer’s meniscus injury. Disasi, valued around €25.2 million, previously spent half of last season on loan at Aston Villa. Juventus are considering a loan with an option to buy, viewing him as a credible replacement for Bremer.

Doing the January transfer window business early, Juventus have reportedly set their sights on Chelsea defender Axel Disasi as a potential replacement for the injured Gleison Bremer. Bremer, who struggled with an ACL injury for most of the 2024-25 season, has now suffered a torn meniscus in the same knee, requiring another surgery and leaving him sidelined for several months. In Bremer’s absence, Juventus relied on Daniele Rugani and Lloyd Kelly as their centre-back pairing, highlighting the need to strengthen their defence.

Local outlet JuveLive has reported that Disasi is being considered on a loan deal with an option to buy, seen as a “respectable replacement” for Bremer. Disasi, 27, has struggled at Chelsea under Enzo Maresca, particularly after returning from a loan spell at Aston Villa last season. Despite interest from European clubs, he has been unable to secure a move and, along with Raheem Sterling, has been training away from Chelsea’s first team.

Maresca has emphasized that the situation is not unique to Chelsea, explaining that players sometimes find themselves outside the squad for various reasons, and the club is still providing opportunities to train properly. During the 2024-25 season, Disasi featured in 27 games for Chelsea across all competitions, scoring twice and providing two assists, reflecting his potential value for Juventus’ defensive needs.
